Summary
Abstract:
These data represent geologic and petroleum provinces interpreted and designated by the authors and based on numerous literature and map resources. Geologic province boundaries.
Purpose:
Each region is divided into geologic provinces. The purpose of this data set is to outline areas with similar geologic, geographic, structural, and petroleum characteristics. These areas are utilized as one of the primary required strategic tools in the USGS World Energy Project for assessing the petroleum potential of this region.
